"Build a prom for everyone
Show them all it can be done
If music blares and no one cares
Who your unruly heart loves
Build it now. Make people see how the world could one day be
It might come true if we take a chance
But 'til that day comes...It's time to dance"
A very sincere thank you to everyone who was part of Unity House Players' latest musical production, the Prom - on stage, behind the scenes, and in the audience! Together, you helped build community, laughed, even cried a bit, and shared an important message.
We are extremely proud ot this talented cast, crew, and creative team; and proud to be able to support the Arts at UUSGS for this good work to happen. Hundreds of people were able to enjoy the show, many visiting our space for the very first time; positive word of mouth quickly spread resulting in a sold out final performance last Sunday. Both audiences and those involved in the production process over the past several months enjoyed a meaningful experience that we'll cherish.
Our next musical production this summer will be a new original piece by Ian C. Weber and Tammy Mader- ROBOT NATURE! Like the PROM, this show will tackle important topics and encourage dialogue through humor. Over a dozen young performers will have the unique opportunity to be part of workshopping the script learning from industry professionals, and we encourage you to be part of that process when we present it to an audience with talk-backs after some peformances. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon.
Until then - keep celebrating love and "Changing Lives"!
