This October, Unity House Players is presenting a 4 day Shakespearean festival featuring several short pieces by the Bard, each directed by a different person.
Each selected director will be given a 15 minute slot to stage a scene or two in whatever style or genre they choose: perhaps it’ll be Romeo in classic renaissance, Twelfth Night in the 1980’s, or Macbeth on the moon. Each director is encouraged to make it fun! Make it relevant! Play it traditional, or put a twist on a classic. Shakespeare’s original words must be maintained, but the time and location setting is up to the director!
This is a great opportunity for both experienced directors as well as new ones to share their love of Shakespeare. To apply as a director, please fill out the following form including which pieces you propose to present: https://forms.gle/EH1vEAh6a5UBuwnx7
Deadline for director application is June 5th. Auditions for actors will occur later this summer with rehearsals beginning by September. Be sure to follow @Unityhouseplayers on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
