“I am an atheist and a member of the leadership board, so figure that out!” says Jack, UUSGS board member. He's drawn to the community’s emphasis on truth-seeking over truth-claiming: “Looking for answers? We have lots of questions.”
Jack found "his people" at UUSGS, where we're connected not by chance or a shared belief system, but by what we all hold dear: “At times in life, you need to find your people. I know you are my people because we decided to come here on purpose because we want to be with people who have shared expectations and values.”
Our community brings Jack back to those shared values when [pronoun] gets swept up in the day-to-day of life. “You can lose sight of things,” as Jack says, “and being with your people on Sunday morning can help you refocus.”
