“I’ve always been a seeker, seeking connection and depth,” says Erin, UUSGS congregant and past board president. Erin found belonging in our congregation as her authentic self: “I felt that I didn’t have to perform. I could show up and be just the way I was. ... I feel held in the space, but not confined.”
Erin grew up Catholic — it wasn’t quite a fit, but she appreciated the role of faith in her life and wanted her kiddo to have a community to grow up in. At UUSGS, Erin found a community where members contribute to something beyond themselves by being their real selves, regardless of specific religious beliefs.
“We lead with a belief that everyone has something they bring. We can make this experience of life better together,” Erin says.
