Cool It!

"People who move mountains begin by carrying small stones..."

OK... this one feels like something in between, certainly not the whole mountain but bigger than a small stone.  For the first time ever in our congregtion's 200-plus-year history, our Sanctuary is fully climate-controlled!! 

Why is this a big deal?  Here are four reasons...

• Year-round programming is now possible, with comfortable accommodation for services, weddings, memorials, artistic productions, community meetings, movie nights and more.  

• Providing a cool space is a community service, especially when heat is dangerous.

• Our new equipment includes eco-friendly heat pumps that will be more efficient year-round.  We were also able to make use of existing duct work.

• Better climate and humidity control means less wear on: instruments (organ, piano), electronics (audio/video), carpet & furnishings.

BIG thanks are due once again to our capital campaign leadership team... and to everyone who has been a part of the campaign thus far.  Thank you!!
