But by the grace of God I am what I am, and that grace toward me was not in vain... (1 Corinthians)

A frequent (unhelpful!) comment made to neurodivergent folks is: "you're too much."  Really?  Too much for who?!  For what?!  Where is change really needed? Within people, or among norms & systems?

This morning, we continue our monthlong journey of "Paying Attention" with a deeper dive into neurodiversity, a paradigm with important implications and deep connection with our UU values.  According to Harvard Health, "Neurodiversity describes the idea that people experience and interact with the world around them in many different ways; there is no one 'right' way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences are not viewed as deficits."

... where differences are not viewed as deficits.  Amen, and amen!
