Family Hike

Summer is great time to be outdoors together! Join other families on Saturday outings as we move our bodies and appreciate the great beauty of nature that surrounds us. If you would like to lead a hike please contact Darcie Farber or Erin Placey. Hike leaders provide the meet-up time, place, and brief description of what to expect. (They also will be responsible for deciding about weather cancellations by 6pm Friday.)

Family Summer Hike:

Date: Saturday, July 5th

Meeting Location: Parking Lot 98 Conant Brook Dam Rd, Monson, MA.

Time: Arrive 9:30am. We will leave the lot promptly at 9:45.

What to Expect: a mix of trail surfaces including gravel, worn dirt pathes and old paved roads with flat to medium grade terrain. Wetlands, meadows, and forests. Abundant wildlife. Access to water for wading and playing. No facilities. Darcie will lead a basic loop and tour of some of the natural features but feel free to stay and explore as long as feels good to you!

What to Bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, emergency bathroom supplies, water, snacks, and optional water shoes/ clothing.
