Erin Placey relocated to Western Mass from Southern California in 2013 to pursue a Master’s degree in Social Work at Springfield College. Searching for a community, she began slowly dipping her toes into the UU waters. Almost three years later she felt ready to become a member. Raised Catholic, Erin is enjoying deepening her knowledge and connection to all things Unitarian Universalist, particularly the deep commitment to the democratic process and the the believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all people. Erin has served on the Board of Trustees (including a term as President), the Pioneer Valley Project Ministry Team and the Beacons. She and her partner, Josh, live in West Springfield with their daughter Isabelle and their two dogs.
