Denise began attending UUSGS in 2008 and became a member with her husband, John, and daughter, Emilia, in 2009. She joined the staff in 2019.
Denise has always enjoyed learning and her career path that reflects this. From music education and music therapy, to managing residences and foster homes for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, to massage therapy and an MBA in healthcare management, she has given both sides of her brain an intellectual workout! Denise has volunteered at UUSGS in many ways: as a choir member, in Family Ministry, on the Auction Committee and as a Soulful Supper cook-team leader, to name a few. Volunteering has been a great way to meet people, feel connected and be part of a joint effort. (All this experience also makes Denise a great resource in helping others find their ministry!) In her free time, Denise enjoys being outdoors... whether it be at the beach, taking a bike ride or walking through the woods. She also enjoys knitting for a cause (prayer shawls, etc.).
