Join us at the Hampshire Pride Parade this Saturday, 5/3, in Northampton MA! We plan to watch the parade from the Edmund J Lapron Park on Bridge Street, which is right in front of the Bridge Street School, where Parsons Street meets Bridge Street. Let’s put on our best UUSGS purple swag and show our Unitarian Universalist pride!

Plan A: Park in the Northampton parking garage and meet at the gate to the garage at 10am.
Plan B: If the garage is full, park in the lot behind the Bridge Street School, and aim for the little park in front of the school, perhaps for 10:30.
Plan C: If the school lot is full, park in the neighborhood behind the school, and aim for the little park in front of the school, perhaps for 10:30.
Plan D: If parking in the neighborhood doesn’t work out, park at Sheldon Field, by the Three County Fair, where the parade starts, and head down Bridge Street to the Edmund J Lapron Park.

Bring water, sunscreen, and snacks. The parade steps off at 11, and will reach the little park after that. I expect spectating crowds will be MUCH thinner here than downtown, and there’s a playground in the park that our young folks might enjoy. Parade instructions include joining in at the end, and heading to the festival, which is in the parking lot right next to the Northampton parking garage.
