  at Tanglewood along with the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and guest ar
 tists including Yo-Yo Ma. \nWhen: Sunday\, August 9\, 2026\, the BYOP (Br
 ing Your Own Picnic) will kick off at 1:15 p.m.\, and the concert will beg
 in at 2:30 p.m.\nTicket Cost: UUSGS will be purchasing lawn tickets at a d
 iscount. Anyone under 18 gets free admittance to the lawn. These include o
 ur 10% Group Sales discount\, and we waive the $10 per-person handling fee

 uman creativity and diversity that has always been central to the United S
 tates and will guide our future. The BSO\, Yo-Yo Ma\, Anna Handler\, and S
 amy Rachid are joined by Karen Ouzounian\, Christine Lee\, Kayhan Kalhor\,
  Arooj Aftab\, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Chorus to pl
 ay music by John Tavener\, Kayhan Kalhor\, and Osvaldo Golijov. Click here

 out UU at Yo-Yo:\n1.) Before we purchase group tickets we would like to ga
 uge interest.  Please complete THIS FORM below by May 27th.  Responses w
 ill be sent to Bonnie Cox and Jon Todd\, who are coordinating our particip
 ation.  \n2.) We will be purchasing group tickets for the lawn which save
 s on fees\, provides a discount\, and is family-friendly. Children 18 &amp
 \; under receive free admittance on the lawn. While kids under 5 are not p
 ermitted in the Koussevitzky Music Shed during concerts (Tanglewood rule)\
 , they can explore the shed with an adult before and after the concert.\n3
 .). Tickets are non-refundable and concerts take place rain or shine. If y
 ou prefer to sit in the Koussevitzky Music Shed\, you may purchase your ow
 n tickets directly from the BSO in advance or day of (depending on availab
 ility) and meet up to picnic with the group on the lawn before the concert
  and during intermission. \n4.)  It’s a family friendly concert. Pre-c
 oncert activities and lawn games are available for kids and families. Fami
 lies often bring quiet activities for kids to enjoy during the concerts. T
 here’s space for frisbees\, catch\, or a good game of tag. Adults can su
 pervise within earshot of the concert. (No childcare is provided.)  The e
 xtensive grounds include safe places to explore like a hedgegrove maze and
  a whispering bench.  \n5.)  Show your UU Pride! Bring your UUSGS Blanke
 ts\, wear your UUSGS T-shirts or any attire that promotes our values of cr
 eativity\, belonging\, justice\, etc. Lean into the purple and yellow them
 e! \n6.)  It’s a Bring Your Own Picnic (BYOP) event! Bring blankets\, 
 lawn chairs\, food and beverages. Be as fancy or as practical as your hear
 t desires. Bring food to share or just for you and your family. Alcohol is
  permitted and food for purchase is available. \n7.) Want to carpool? Mee
 t at UUSGS on Sunday morning for services and then drive together. A 12:15
  p.m. leave time from UUSGS is recommended. \n8.) All are welcome. Financ
