The Memorial Garden at UUSGS is a final resting place for several of the congregation’s members and friends. This beautiful, natural space – nestled in the woods – is maintained lovingly by caring volunteers and is open to the public year-round.*
* Due to public health concerns, please comply with state and local guidelines (e.g., masks and social distancing).
Every year, usually following our Ingathering service in September, we are invited to walk the Memorial Garden path together and to honor the lives of those who are remembered there. While we could not all participate safely in person this year, this durable human tradition occurs nonetheless. Here, you are invited to participate where you are in this simple-yet-powerful observance.
We intentionally did not “produce” this video. We simply caputred what happens when humans remember one another. May authenticity and love indeed be our salvation.
We honor the lives of those who have gone before us, ancestors all. We hold in sympathy all who grieve. May love indeed prevail.
