MEMBER SERVICES
Membership Committee
This committee promotes membership, helps new people feel welcome and organizes new member events. Photos of new members are displayed on a special bulletin board. We provide greeters for Sunday mornings and keep the literature rack up to date.
Welcome Team
New member interviews are conducted and printed in the Sundial. The team assists members in making connections with programs and activities that are meaningful to them.
Caring Network
This committee will provide transportation and meals and assist with shopping, errands, etc. for members and friends in times of acute need.
The Alliance
This group meets on the first Monday of the month for lunch or dinner. We gather for socializing and have interesting speakers. Our mission is to be of service to UUSGS.
Pastoral Outreach Team
Team members reach out to members with generosity of spirit - listening, caring, responding, supporting, being there - during an illness, a major life transition, death of a loved one, personal crisis, etc. We coordinate a group of volunteers who visit our homebound members and those who frequently cannot attend worship services.
Memorial Garden Committee
This committee assists members who wish to use the Memorial Garden for themselves or another family member. A pre-planning form is available and completed forms are kept on file in the office. A Remembrance brochure provides information about the Garden and its use. Families can memorialize loved ones by participating in plant sales that are offered at Christmas and Easter.
