The Diary of Anne Frank is a stage adaptation of the book, The Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank. A German-born diarist, and one of the most discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust, her diary, and the play, documents her life in hiding from 1942 to 1944, during the German occupation of the Netherlands in World War II. It is one of the world’s most widely known books and a powerful, and relevant story for our times. Presenting this work of art is a cast of seasoned actors and theater professionals.
See No Stranger – Exploring Unity & Censorship Through Art
The production will incorporate music of Jewish composers, whose careers were cut short by the Holocaust, performed under the direction of Michael Corman. A traveling art installation from the The Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect – featuring previously censored artwork – will be on display, as well… bringing to life not only the message of the play but also the importance of its historic production as a platform for free speech and non-censorship.
