Looking for an antidote to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season? Join us for a warm, intimate show with stringfolk trio Low Lily!

With one foot in the traditions of America and the UK, and the other firmly planted in the fertile ground of the new tradfolk and bluegrass revivals, string and vocal trio Low Lily explores the roots and branches of American folk music with masterful intrumental arrangements and original compositions.

Low Lily (formerly Annalivia) features bright strings and beautiful folk harmonies from fiddle-player extraordinaire Lissa Schneckenburger, “honey-voiced singer” and guitarist Liz Simmons, and well-traveled “versatile string virtuoso” Flynn Cohen – accomplished players with deep relationships to traditional music styles ranging from bluegrass to Irish, Scottish, New England, and Old Time Appalachian sounds. Their recent self-titled album brings their influences together in a collection of six songs which includes original and traditional material on three voices, guitars, mandolin, fiddle, double bass, and trombones; the album’s first track, “House Carpenter”, debuted at #1 on the Folk DJ charts – the band’s second #1 song.

Since then, mainstage appearances at Falcon Ridge Folk and the New Bedford Folk festival and sold-out house concerts and coffeehouses up and down the East Coast continue to speak to this trio’s rising power and presence. Arrive early to get a seat up front for a show that promises to melt the cold from your ears and your heart.

All Unity House Concerts take place at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield at 245 Porter Lake Drive in Springfield, MA – less than an hour from Northampton, Hartford, Worcester and the Berkshires, with easy access to Interstate 91.

Doors open for all shows at 6:30. Homemade desserts and coffee are available for a small donation in Friendship Hall. Open seating begins at 7:00.

Tickets $15 for adults, $5 for students w/ID. Cash only, please!
